Chief Trademark Counsel and Chief Marketing Counsel, Personal and Home Care at Colgate-Palmolive Company

Melanie Jennison is chief trademark counsel and chief marketing counsel for Personal and Home Care at Colgate-Palmolive Company. In her role, she oversees a team of trademark lawyers and paralegal professionals providing strategic guidance and legal support globally for trademark, copyright, and right-of-publicity issues relative to marketing campaigns and initiatives. She also advises the Global Personal Care and Home Care teams as well as EltaMD® and PCA Skin on new product innovation, advertising campaigns, and other marketing initiatives.

She joined Colgate-Palmolive from Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where she was of counsel in the Intellectual Property and Technology Litigation Group. There she ligated trademark and copyright cases and provided intellectual property counseling to a variety of media, entertainment, and packaged goods companies. Prior to Kirkland & Ellis, she was counsel at O’Melveny & Myers LLP.

She graduated from Fordham University School of Law in 2000.
