Greg Walters

Greg Walters is an experienced, award-winning attorney who has created ethics and compliance programs including risk and governance policies throughout the United States Government.  He also teaches the latest in person and virtual training techniques to audiences including both federal and private sector organizations. 

Greg is a nationally recognized expert and speaker on ethics and emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, data science and crypto for various government and nonprofit entities such as the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, Compliance Week, the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics and the Ethics & Compliance Initiative.

Greg has over thirty years of experience in federal law including information technology law, litigation, procurement law and a recent practice in federal cybersecurity law and compliance, including information technology training and awareness programs, at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).  His work in federal financial regulatory law included legal review of proposed enforcement actions at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and audit work at the SEC.  Greg’s other professional accomplishments include prize winning work on ethics and compliance training for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and designing the initial enterprise risk management program for the U.S. Peace Corps including governance and compliance policies.

Greg is a graduate of the University of Chicago (B.A.), the California Western School of Law (J.D.) and the Georgetown University School of Law (LL.M.). 

Greg’s current practice includes educating and training audiences on the new regulatory environment created by politics and policies under the most recent presidential administration.  His expertise in multiple federal legal specialties including procurement, taxation, financial regulatory structures, and cybersecurity allow him to provide a unique voice to advise organizations who want to successfully navigate changes in a new regulatory world.  In addition, Greg is a legal advisor to organizations who want to leverage emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and digitalization with the highest ethical standards.
