Application Requirements
Your online application will be reviewed comprehensively by our dedicated admissions team and should include the following:
Statement of Purpose
In an essay of 500 words or fewer, tell us more about yourself and your experience with and interest in compliance. In addition to telling us about your personal journey, you might consider answering the following three questions: Why are you a good fit for a career in compliance? What areas of compliance interest you the most and why? And what specific short or long term goals do you plan to achieve by pursuing a degree in compliance?
Letters of Recommendation
You are required to submit two letters of recommendation. Each letter should be from someone who knows you well and can provide a candid, personalized evaluation of your potential success in the graduate program.
Resume
Your current resume or curriculum vitae should include your complete university-level educational experience, your complete employment history, and any additional academic or professional activities. Please also include any publications and presentations.
Applicants with a minimum of two years of compliance-related work experience are preferred.
Official Transcripts
Official transcripts are required for all degree-bearing courses taken (as part of a complete or incomplete degree). If a course is mentioned on your resume, it must be present in your official transcripts.
Many schools issue transcripts electronically. If this option is available through the institutions you attended, have your transcript(s) sent to appsvcs@onlinelaw.fordham.edu. To mail transcripts, request that your sealed, official transcripts be sent directly to:

College Station, TX 77842
If the option is available through the institutions you attended, have your transcript(s) sent to appsvcs@onlinelaw.fordham.edu. (Note: You may need to manually enter this email address if it does not appear in the pick list. Please do not select the general Fordham University option).
Students who have completed a degree outside of the United States are required to submit official transcripts, translated to English, or a third-party evaluation of their academic credentials. Academic credential evaluations are accepted from any NACES recommended service provider. Exceptions are made for institutions in Canada, Australia, Ireland, and the U.K.
Please note: To be considered an official transcript, the transcript must be sent directly from your institution(s) or through an electronic transcript vendor retained by that institution. Transcripts submitted by enrolled or prospective students are considered unofficial documents, even if they are in a sealed envelope provided to you by the issuing university.
TOEFL Scores (International Applicants)
You are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IETLS) exam unless you hold a degree from a college or university in the United States, any Caribbean island where English is the sole official language, Australia, English-speaking Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, or the United Kingdom. We look for a minimum score of 100 on the TOEFL iBT or 7 on the IELTS exam. Fordham MSL Online’s TOEFL code is C462.
Application Fee
The nonrefundable application fee for the MSL in Corporate Compliance degree is $70.
To be considered for the program, you must have completed an undergraduate degree from an accredited university. Please note that GRE, GMAT, and LSAT scores are not required to apply.
If you have earned a JD, LLB, or any other law degree, you are not eligible for the online MSL program. You should instead explore Fordham Law’s on-campus LLM in Compliance.
